The Simbavati Hilltop Lodge is situated within the world renowned and breathtakingly beautiful Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger Park. Accommodation comprises 8 luxurious safari tents, offering king-size or twin-bed options. The en-suite bathroom tent is connected to the main tent via a small passage, with an opening to the outdoors that gives you an indoor or private twin shower outdoor shower option. Privacy is guaranteed thanks to the careful placement of the tented-suites, ensuring an intimate and unforgettable stay
Guests can enjoy magnificent views of the bush, the Nhlaralumi River and the distant foothills of the Drakensberg Mountain Range from the vantage point of the beautiful small koppie on which the lodge is situated. Please note that some of the suites are accessed with steep stairs and guests are required to specify their needs when booking.
The luxurious and individual pavilion styled safari tents feature either a king-size bed or twin beds. The en-suite bathroom tent is connected to the main tent via a small passage. Each tent features air-conditioning, a fan, mini bar, hairdryer, safe, tea- and coffee-making facilities as well as a private viewing deck and daybed.

Simbavati Hilltop Lodge is ideally situated in the famous Timbavati Private Nature Reserve forming part of the Greater Kruger Park and which currently features over 40 mammal species including the Big 5 and endangered species such as the wild dog and cheetah and 360 species of bird life.
The Timbavati Private Nature Reserve was initiated in 1956 by a group of landowners concerned about the degradation of this once pristine wilderness area. Timbavati is dedicated to conservation by maintaining the biodiversity of species and is also involved in different research projects.
